R. G. Guy 85, Depew died Dec. 31, 1994 in Stroud.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9 at the First Baptist Church in Depew with the Revs. R. T. Samuels and E. V. Walker officiating.

Burial is to follow in the Memorial Club Cemetery in Depew under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.

Guy was born May 13, 1909 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He married Jessie Cornelius on Oct. 15, 1939. He served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and choir member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie.

Survivors include a son, Theoplis Blackmon of San Jose, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren.
