J. W. Harp, 65, 805 N. Ridgeway, died today at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Cecil Taylor officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Harp was born May 9, 1927, in Seminole, Okla., and moved to Sapulpa 32 years ago.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from Liberty Glass Company. He married Loretia Gill on June 9, 1951, in Van Buren, Ark. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge.

Survivors include, wife, Loretia; son Johnny Harp of Sapulpa; daughters Lois Ann Dobbins of Edmond and Rita Diehl of Sapulpa; brother Jim Harp of Nowalla, Okla.; and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services for J. W. Harp were held this afternoon at 2 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doug Diehl officiating.

Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casket bearers were Tim Tyler, James Martin, Jim Cosby, Mike Whinery, and Don Deffenbaugh.

Military rites were given by the Sapulpa Veterans organizations.

Mr. Harp, a long time Sapulpa resident, died Friday at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa.
