James Thomas (J. T.) Harris, 72, of Sapulpa, died Wednesday in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John Nelsen officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

He was born Sept. 13,1921, in Chadwick, Mo., and had resided in Sapulpa since 1950, moving here from Ozark, Mo. Mr. Harris was the President and owner of the Creek County Abstract Company until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of the Sapulpa Elks Lodge, Rotary Club, Coffee Club at Biscuits Plus and the Oklahoma Land Title Association. Mr. Harris served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and had attended the University of Oklahoma.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; sons, Mike Harris of Sapulpa, James Crowe of Broken Arrow, David Crowe, of Bath, Ohio, and King Crowe of Scottsdale, Arix.; daughters, Suzy Ham and Nancy Fisher, both of Sapulpa and eleven grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the home of Sen. Ted Fisher.

Remembrances may be made to The Salvation Army.
