Elijah L. Harwood, 69, Kellyville resident since 1912, died at his home there early Wednesday of an apparent heart attack.

He was born April 18, 1900 at Marshfield, MO, and before retiring was employed as a water well driller. He was a member of the Pentecostal church, Kellyville.

Survivors are two sons, Alvin and Paul of Kellyville; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Taylor, Kellyville; Mrs. Irene Smith, Modesto, Calif.; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and seven brothers, Charles, Bob, Theodore, Dave, Bill and Willard Hardwood of Kellyville, Henry Harwood of San Martin, Calif.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Friday at the Kellyville Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Vernie Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Kellyville Cemetery under direction of Owen Funeral Home. 

Pallbearers will be Doug Hawkins, Forest Swan, Aud Mayberry, Bob Lovell, Sr., Walter McGuire and Bill Banks.

Mrs. Katie Harwood, 68, a Kellyville resident since 1910, died at her home there early Saturday after a lengthy illness.

She was born Oct 17, 1900 at Panama, OK, and was a member of the Free Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are her husband Elija [Elijah] of home; two sons Alvin and Paul Harwood, Kellyville; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Taylor, Kellyville; Mrs. Irene Smith, Modesto, Calif.; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers John and Horace Romine, both of Kellyville; three sisters Mrs. Madie Kelly, Campbell, Calif.; Mrs. Lou Howerton, Kellyville; Mrs. Mary M. Garin, Vinita.

Funeral rites will be at 2 pm Tuesday at the Free Pentecostal Church, Kellyville with the Rev. Vernie Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Kellyville Cemetery under direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Forest Swan, Aud Mayberry, Walter McGuire, Kenneth Lawson, Doug Hawkins and Carl Storts.
