Edward J. Heinze, 82, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 1995 in Oklahoma City.
Services were held Jan. 18, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Shawnee with Father Michael ROETHLER officiating. Burial was in
Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, directed by Roesch Funeral Chapel.
He was born Jan. 10, 1913 in Sparks.
He married Koneta MERKLE on Jan. 20, 1942 in Sapulpa.
He served in the U.S. Army in World War II in the European theater and received Purple Heart. He was a member of Rotary, and the Elks Club. He served on the board of the Red Cross, and was a Boy Scout leader. He was on the finance board of St. Benedict Church and was an oblate of St. Gregory's.
He worked for 42 years for Oklahoma Gas and Electric, retiring as division superintendent of the Shawnee division.
Survivors include his wife, Koneta; a son, John E. HEINZE, Austin, Texas; daughter, Mary Beth WATSON, Plano, Texas; a brother, Vernon HEINZE; three sisters Hannah CANNON and
Betty GLECKER, both of Chandler, and Freda THOMAS, Shawnee; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
