Cleda H. Hemphill, 86, of Sapulpa, died Sunday at Glenpool Health Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church Chapel with Dr. John Nelson officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born July 6, 1907 in Arkansas. A Sapulpa resident since 1921, she attended Sapulpa schools graduated from East Central University with a bachelor of arts degree, and received a masters degree from University of Oklahoma. She taught school in Sapulpa and California for many years. Hemphill was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her brother, Olen Hemphill of Sapulpa; two nephews and two great-nephews.

The family will headquarter at 801 Regency.

Funeral services for Cleda Hazel Hemphill were held this morning at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Chapel with Dr. John Nelsen officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casket bearers were Tom Langham, Ray Perkins, Ken Cook and Jess Powell.

Hemphill, a Sapulpa resident since 1921, died Sunday.
