Beatrice L. Henderson, 88, died Friday at the Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma
City.
Visitation will be from 8 am to 10 p.m., Sunday, at Smith Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, at the First Baptist Church
with Rev. David Houchin officiating.
Committal service and burial will follow at 1 p.m., at Woodland Cemetery in
Cleveland under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc., in Cleveland.
She was born February 16, 1904, in Gas City, Indiana, the daughter of Eugene
Collins and Elsie Schrock Collins. She moved to the Cleveland area with her
family at the age of thirteen in 1917 and attended Cleveland schools. She
married Glen S. Henderson, on August 14, 1921, in Cleveland, where they resided
until their move to Sapulpa in 1962. Beatrice was a member of First Baptist
Church of Sapulpa.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna
Hershberger; and two sons, Warren and Charles Ray.
Survivors include a son, Ralph of Broken Arrow; daughters, Dorothy Ott of
Sapulpa, Virginia McKnight of Del City, Beverly Nichols of Beggs, Norma Brazeal
of Seneca, Mo., Judy Esmond of Dallas, Texas, Jean Curran and Cheryl Levinstein
of Miami, Fla.; brothers, Leo Collins of Lebanon, Mo., and Wilfred Collins of
Graham, Texas; sisters, Eula Pringer and Elizabeth Rife of Pasadena, Texas,
Gertrude Campbell of Hobbs, New Mexico, Ruth Henderson of Edmond; 33
grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
