HENDERSON, C. E.

VETERAN OFFICER DIES IN SAPULPA
C. E. Henderson victim of heart attack at his home

WORLD’S OWN SERVICE
On Jan 14 in Sapulpa funeral arrangements were incomplete for Charles E. Henderson, age 54, pioneer United States and Creek county law enforcement officer, who died Tuesday morning at his home here following a sudden heart attack.

Henderson had been desk sergeant for the Sapulpa police department for the past six years. He served as deputy sheriff under D. B. Livingston, early-day Creek county sheriff. He was later appointed U.S. deputy marshal.

Funeral arrangements were delayed pending arrival on two sons, Dale Henderson of Houston, Texas, and Donald of Sapulpa, who is on a business trip to St. Louis, Mo. Services will probably be held Thursday at the First Methodist church here, according to friends and relatives.

Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Ruby Henderson; five daughters, Dorothy Henderson, Mrs. Dolores Carver, Diana Delaine and Daphne Henderson all of Sapulpa; one sister, Mrs. Hal Jansen of Sapulpa, and two sons.

Landrith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
