BIG CANOE, Ga. -- Ronald Casto Hendricks, 59, of Big Canoe, died Sunday in Atlanta.

Services will be held Tuesday at Big Canoe Chapel under the direction of Cagle Funeral Home.

Mr. Hendricks was born in Alluwee and lived most of his life in the Sapulpa area.

He graduated from Sapulpa High School and served in the Air Force, where he earned the rank of captain. He also served as a jet pilot in the Strategic Air Force in Topeka, Kan.

Hendricks was employed 34 years by IBM and was a board member of the metropolitan Atlanta United Way and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.

Survivors include wife Kay McKinney Hendricks; mother-in-law Willie McKinney of Sapulpa; daughter Kim Hendricks of New Orleans; son Brent Hendricks of Tucson, Ariz.; brothers Eugene Hendricks of Nowata and Paul Hendricks of Tulsa; and two grandchildren.
