Eugene M. Hendrix, 73, formerly of Sapulpa, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1994 at St. Francis Hospital after a short illness. 

A military service will be held at Holy Catholic Cathedral, 122 W. Eighth, Tulsa. Times and other arrangements are pending. 

Hendrix was a retired vice president and manager of Tulsa Transportation and Leasing. While in Sapulpa, he was associated with Hendrix Motor and Appliance Co. 

He was born in Fort Smith, Ark. He attended the University of Tulsa on a football scholarship from 1940 to 1943, and received a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Business Management degrees. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War, and retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel. 

He was a past president of the Kiwanis Club. He was president of the Tulsa Executive Association and a member of the Tulsa University Hurricane and Letterman's Clubs. 

Survivors include his wife, Virginia, a daughter Nancey Haddock of Richardson, Texas; a son, Randy Hendrix of Houston, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Memorial Mass for Eugene M. Hendrix, 73, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the Holy Family Cathedral, 122 W. Eighth St., Tulsa.
