Mary Gladys Hermes, 90, Sapulpa, died Monday, Oct. 17, 1994 at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center. 

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John Nelsen officiating. 

Burial will be in South Heights Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 18, 1904 in Pontotoc. She has been a Sapulpa resident since 1929. 

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder. She was also a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, BPOE Auxiliary, Chapter DT of the PEO, a lifetime member of the Sapulpa Historical Society, the Oklahoma Heritage Association and the Tulsa Country Club. 

Survivors include a son, Richard Hermes, Sapulpa; a daughter, Betty Jo Clement, Sapulpa; a sister, Naoma Peters, Ada; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church building fund or to a favorite charity.

Services for Mary Gladys Hermes, were held at 2 p.m. today in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. John Nelsen officiating. 

Burial followed in the South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. 

Serving as casketbearers were Richard Hermes, Jr., Clifford E. Clement, Steve A. Clement, Daniel Thompson, Robert Rorschach and James Peters.
