Jonathan "Joe" HIGH, 74, died Saturday, June 24, 1995 in Claremore.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home Chapel in Bristow.
He was born Feb. 18, 1921 in Tyler, Texas, to Henry and Effie Richardson HIGH.
He graduated from Jordan High school in Los Angeles, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945, receiving the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal. He lived in Sacramento, Calif., for 10 years before moving to Bristow in 1990. He was of the Baptist faith. He retired in 1977 as a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Lula HIGH of the Bristow home; a daughter, Denise CUMMINGS, Los Angeles; five grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a sister.
