Oliver Vernon Hill, 71, 626 S. Cedar, died Wednesday at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 am Friday at Full Gospel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dan Caldwell officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Eugene Dale, Kay Ward, Dan Kirk, Tom Kirk, Gordon Irby and Ralph Brown.

Mr. Hill was born Jan 26, 1918, in Strong City, Okla., and lived in the Sapulpa area since 1942. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army Air Corp. He was a retired truck driver from Anchor Concrete Company in Sapulpa.

He married Lillian Kirk on July 3, 1942, in Sapulpa. 

Survivors include wife Lillian of the home; son Melton Melot; daughter Joetta Jensen; sister Rena McClellan; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
