C.D. Hobbs of Mounds Dead
C.D. Hobbs, age 68, Mounds passed away yesterday morning at 8:30 o'clock at his home.  He had been ill a week.  Hobbs and his family made their home in Mounds for about four years.

He is survived by his widow; three daughters Iscey of Newark, O; Bessie of Wewoka and Norma of Hominy and seven sons, Lee of Begs; Preston Newark, O; Denzel of Sperry; Walter and Herbert of Louisiana and Tom and Holly of Mounds.

Funeral rites will be held tomorrow afternoon.

CHARLES HOBBS DIES AT MOUNDS
FUNERAL IS SET FRIDAY FOR RESIDENT
OF AREA FOR LAST 14 YEARS ON JULY 19, 1939

Charles D. Hobbs 69, who had been a resident of the Beggs Mounds area for 14 years, died at 9 am today at his home in Mounds.

Survivors are the widow Mrs. Estella Hobbs, seven sons
  L. R. Hobbs Beggs route one.
  Tom Hobbs & Hollie Hobbs of Mounds.
  Preston Hobbs of Columbus Ohio.
  Herbert Hobbs of Franklin LA.
  W. R. Hobbs of Houma LA.
  Densel Hobbs of Perry Okla.
      Three Daughters.
  Mrs. Isa Porter of Newark Ohio.
  Mrs. Bessie Coats of Wewoka Okla.
  Mrs. Norma Oliphant of Hominy Okla.

Funeral will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Friday at the assembly of God church in mounds with Rev. John Clayton officiating.

Burial will be in Sapulpa Cemetery under direction of Bingham Funeral home, Beggs.
