Carl Ernest (Ernie) Hofstrom, 72, 1245 E. Cleveland, died today in Sapulpa.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Hofstrom was born Dec 31, 1919, in Tulsa. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and moved to Sapulpa in 1946. He was a retired machinist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; and a son, Billy.

Survivors include sons LeRoy and Dennis Hofstrom, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Kenneth Hofstrom of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dana Hofstrom of Mansfield, Ohio; daughters Lisa Tucker of Sapulpa and Regina Eiben of Austin, Texas; brothers Ike Hofstrom of Harrisonville; Mo., and Bill Hofstrom of Tulsa; sister Pokey Hofstrom of Tulsa; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the Tucker residence, 625 S. Adams.

Funeral services for Carl Ernest (Ernie) Hofstrom will be held at 1 pm Saturday in the Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Dove officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Honorary casketbearers will be Lee Hofstrom, Keith Hofstrom, Scotty Hofstrom, Joey Hofstrom, Matthew Eiben and Jason Tucker.
