Jeanie Holtz, 65, died unexpectedly in her sleep, Friday,
August 3, 2007. She was born April 1, 1942, in Oilton, to
Herbert and Esta Dye.
She graduated from Coleman High School in Texas, in 1960,
where she was a member of Future Teacher's of America and the
National Honor Society, as well as a cheerleader and beauty
pageant queen. After high school, she was involved in several
civic sororities.
She moved to Tulsa in 1965, where she resided for the next 42
years. She worked as a Dental Assistant and Office Manager, she
participated in tennis leagues, bridge groups, and the Dental
Auxiliary and she was very involved in the school and
extra-curricular activities of her children.
In 1989, she married Lloyd K. Holtz, a Tulsa Attorney, and
for the past 18 years she worked with those whom she considered
to be her second family at Dentsply Tulsa Dental.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Lloyd K. Holtz;
both parents; brother, Earl; and sister, Sharon.
She is survived by: 2 children, Dr. Brett Taylor and Christy
O'Day, and their spouses, Jenny Jin and Dennis O'Day; 3
grandchildren, Cpl. Joshua O'Day, Patrick O'Day, and Colin O'Day;
her sister, Charlotte; and brothers-in-law, Bruce and Jack; 4
step-children, Scott Holtz, Lisa French, Stephanie Adams, and
Glenn Holtz and their spouses, Dalitc, Mark, and Tom; as well as
9 wonderful step-grandchildren. Jeanie will be greatly missed by
those whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of her life will be 2 p.m., Saturday, August
11, at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st St., Tulsa, OK
74145.
