Alice M. Hoobler, 57, of Grove, died Monday in Grove.

Funeral services were held today in the First Baptist Church, Grove, with Ken Siemens officiating.

Burial followed in Clarksburg Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kans., under the direction of Sherman Funeral Home, Grove.

She was born Dec 24, 1933, in Fort Scott, and married Robert Hembree in September, 1951. She was co-owner of Hembree Tire Service and moved to the Grove area in 1972 from Chenute, Kans. Hembree preceded her in death on Feb 23, 1979.

She married Merle Hoobler on Jan 12, 1980, in Grove. She was a cherry Red at Grove General Hospital and a past president of the Grove Business and Professional Women. Mrs. Hoobler was preceded in death by two children.

Survivors include husband Merle; parents Jerold and Cynthia Lusk of Fort Scott; son Jeff Hembree of Sapulpa; daughter Diana Lee of Tulsa; stepson Carl Hoobler of Great Falls, Mont.; stepdaughter Sandra Winburn of Conway, S.C.; and seven grandchildren.
