Jasper Clarence Houck, 68, of Okmulgee, died Tuesday in Okmulgee. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday in the Church of the Firstborn, Henryetta. Burial will follow under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home, Henryetta. He was born Feb 9, 1923, in Henryetta, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, fighting at the Anzio-Casino Gothic Line and in the north Appenine Mountains until the end of the war. He was retired following 27 years as a glass plant worker and eight years with Rural Electric Cooperatives. He was a member of The Church of the Firstborn and the Senior Citizens in Okmulgee. Survivors include wife Opal; son J.C. Houck of Tulsa; daughters Donna GRADY of Sapulpa, Mary CROUCH of Enid and Melody PIPPIN of Henryetta; brother Luther Houck of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister Allie MCMANIS of George West, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and one great grandson.
