Updated: 06 Sep 2009 January 04, 2002 Rex Harold Houston, 79, of Talahina [Talihina], died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the Talahina Veterans Center. Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday, Jan 2, 2002, in the South Heights Cemetery Chapel. Interment will be in South Heights Cemetery. Owen Funeral Home of Sapulpa is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Houston was born in Kellyville to George and Roma Fite Houston and had lived here most of his life. He married Helen Willibey, who preceded his death in 1994. He was employed as a pipe fitter and was a member of the Pipe Fitter's Union No. 152. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors are two nephews Raymond Houston of Oklahoma City and Buddy Rex Houston of Lake Havasu, Calif.; four nieces, Linda Cummings of Oklahoma City, Nor-ma Hammons of Bartlesville, Glenda Argo of Norman and Donna McDonald of Osage. |
