Lonnie Howard, 71, Kiefer, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 1994 at Okmulgee Hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home.

Howard was born July 31, 1923 in Jenks.

He married Dorothy Crowl on Feb. 7, 1946 in Sapulpa.

He was a retired warehouseman for IRI International in Pampa, TX. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He moved to Kiefer in May of 1993. He was a member of the Big Creek Church of the Brethren in Cushing.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, of the home; a daughter, Susan Johnson, Waka, TX; a brother, Marion Howard, Grand Junction, CO; two sisters, Lucille Swindell, Quanah, TX and Vera David, Tulsa; and three grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at the home in Kiefer.

Funeral services for Lonnie Howard of Kiefer were held at 10:30 am today in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating.

Interment followed in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casketbearers were Don Essary, Richard Streck, Bill Gilbert, Melvin Pote, Den Stump and Eddie Morris.
