Jake Louis Howard, 70, Route 3, died Thursday at Riverside Nursing Center in Jenks.

Services will be 10:30 am Monday at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Members of the Sapulpa Disabled American Veterans will serve as casket bearers.

The DAV will provide full military rights.

Mr. Howard was born April 20, 1920, in Sapulpa, and lived here most of his life. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Rosen Cutter Brothers Co.

He married Margrie Reiss in Okmulgee County.

Mr. Howard was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Sapulpa, and life member of the Sapulpa DAV.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Howard, in 1981.

Survivors include wife Margrie; daughters Debra Hudgins and Bennie Anita Balton, both of Sapulpa; sisters Emma Cuthburth and Rose Woodrow, both of Sapulpa, and Barbara Ann Cottrell of Denver; and seven grandchildren.
 
The family will headquarter at the family home. The casket will not be opened at the service.

Services for Jake Howard were today at Green Hills Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating.

Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Members of the Sapulpa Disabled American Veterans served as casketbearers.

The DAV also provided full military rights.

Mr. Howard died Thursday at the Riverside Nursing Center in Jenks.

The family will headquarter at the home the day of the service.
