Funeral services for Ruby Vivian Howard
will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 1998, at the Green
Hill Funeral Home Chapel, with the Reverend Willie McCaslin
officiating Mrs. Howard died at Hillcrest Medical Center in
Tulsa on Jan 4 1998 at the age of 84.
Burial will be in the
Green Hill Memorial
Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of Green Hill Funeral
Home. Born Feb., 24, 1913 in Paris, Kentucky to William and
Ginney Belle Ball Scott, she married Omer Howard in Sapulpa in
1847. He preceded her in death in 1993. Ruby had retired from
Frankhoma Pottery as well as Liberty glass. She was a member of
the Baptist faith.
She is survived by sons, Charles McGuire,
Biloxi, Mississippi, Jackie McGuire, Nashville, Tennessee, Billy
Don Thompson, Soldotna, Alaska, Harvey Ray Howard, Mounds,
Forrest Howard, Mannford, Jimmy Howard, Homer, La., daughters
Pat Wiggins, Clearlake, California, Doris Thompson, Kiefer,
Thailia, Pinkham, Esparto, California; sisters, Opal McDermit,
Tulsa, Virginia Griffin, Corpus Christi, Texas, Jenny Bell
Johnson, Cincinnati, Ohio; 41 grandchildren and many
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Thompson, Harvey
Ray Howard, John McGuire, Bill Thompson, Ricky Anderson and
Tracy McGuire. The family has entrusted Green Hill Funeral Home
with the arrangements.
