Ethel Howell, 73, died Friday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Monday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dan Larremore officiating.

Burial will follow in the Duck Creek Cemetery east of Mounds.

She was born in Pope County, Ark., and married William Howell in 1936 at Bixby. They moved to California and in 1945 moved to Mounds.

Mrs. Howell recently moved to Sapulpa.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979. She was the mother of 21 children.

Survivors include sons William, Paul, Daryl, Bobby and Jackie, all of Sapulpa; daughters Velma Collins, Betty Moore, Naomi Miller, Peggy Redden and Janice Phillips, all of Sapulpa, Donna Reale of Tulsa and Cathy Goss of Braidwood, Ill.; sisters Nelly Redwine of California, Dessa Tollette and Wincey Stubblefield of Oklahoma; brothers Allen of Colorado and Leonard of California; 39 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at 19 Stagecoach Drive.

Funeral services for Ethel Howell were held today at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dan Larremore officiating.

Burial followed at Duck Creek Cemetery, Liberty Mounds, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Ronnie Howell, Roger Howell, Alex Moore Jr., Chris Lee, Rick Ramey and Ryan Howell.

Honorary bearers were Billy Howell, Randy Howell, Gerald Howell and John Hoffman.

Mrs. Howell died Friday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.
