Opal Dane Howell, 83, of Tulsa died Friday at Bristow.

Funeral services were held today at 10 am at Hutchins-Maples Chapel in Bristow with Rev. Roland Tidwell of Trinty Baptist officiating.

Burial followed at Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Bristow under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.

She was born June 6, 1907, in Enloe, Texas. She was a member of Redfork Baptist Church in Tulsa. She graduated from Slick High School in 1930. Howell was a Salvation Army volunteer, a senior citizens volunteer and one of the first Lady Pioneers of the Senior Citizens sites.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Howell, her parents, one brother and four sisters.

Survivors include her sisters, Juanita Ripley of Morrison and Eunice Smothers of Tulsa.
