Mildred V. Lackey Hubartt, 89, went to be with her Lord on
December 7, 2001. Mildred was a lifelong resident of Oklahoma.
She came here as an infant with parents, Millard and Clara
Lackey. She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1930 and married
her high school Sweetheart, Leon L Hubartt, In 1933. Mildred's
occupation was that of wife, mother, and homemaker. Her gift to
those around her was an artistic talent shown In every endeavor
she attempted. This lifelong gift was silenced only by the Alzhelmer's that
took her memories and abilities 13 years ago.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents and by her loving
husband of 49 years. She is survived by son. James M. Hubartt
and daughter-in- law, Judy Hubartt of Sapulpa, daughter, or
Patricia J. Hubarn of Edmond; three grandchildren, Jay Hubartt
of Broken Arrow, Jett Hobart of Columbus, Ohio, and Jane Huhant
Magelky of Fairbanks, Alaska; sister-in- law, Marguerite Hubartt
Kendall of Sapulpa; 3 great grandchildren, a nephews, 1 niece,
and many family friends across Oklahoma. The family greatly
acknowledges and embraces the wonderful nurses and staff of
Oklahoma Christian Home, Edmond, for their undying love and care
to our mother.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fellowship
of John N. Fund at Oklahoma Christian Home, 906 N. Boulevard,
Edmond, OK 73034. or to Alz-IV helmet's Research of Oklahoma
Medical Research Foundation Alzheimer's Research, is requested.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 12. at 2:00 P.M., in
the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home. 316 E. Lee, Sapulpa, OK with
Russell Casey sofficiating.
