Bristow - Aug 13 (AP) Jesse Hudson, employee of the Southwest Pipe Line company, was killed early yesterday when a joint of high pressure pipe line blew out.
J.T. Dotson and his son James, working with Hudson, escaped injury. They had withdrawn a small distance as Hudson worked on the pipe.
Hudson's body was blown about 10 feet."
Note: His step-son Freman "Red" Conner was a witness to this and helped move the body.

The funeral of Jess Hudson , who was killed in a pipeline explosion Sunday morning was held at the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Joe Hardcastle officiated.
Hudson's father from Missouri and his brother of Detroit, Mich. were in Bristow for the funeral. A widow and two sons survive him.
Burial was made at Okmulgee, with Sullivan funeral home in charge.
Hudson was killed when he disconnected a coupling on a high pressure gas line on east eighth street about 10 o'clock Sunday morning.
His bearers were men working on the crew with him at the time of his death. They were: O.D. Stevens, R. Archer, W.O. McPherson and William Boyer, all of Bristow."
[NOTE: he left a wife, Effie (listed on the 1930 Creek County
Census), sons Jesse Marvin Hudson and Curtis Ray Hudson. Mr.
Hudson's fathers name was Lewis / Louis Hudson and the brother name was
Louis Eugene Hudson.]
