Stanford E. "Stump" Hurt, 77, of 406 S. Hichory, died Saturday at his home.

Services are to be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Monday under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Hurt was born Jan 10, 1913 in Mounds and was an area resident most of his life. He was a Baptist and was retired from Marathon Oil Co. He was a member of the masonic logde <sic>

He is survived by his wife, Alice, of the home; a son, Stanford Dale HUNT, Sapulpa; a daughter, Gaylon Zguris of Oklahoma City; a brother, Mannford Hurt of Sapulpa; two sisters-in-law, Vinita Deal of Victorville, CA, and Annabelle Hurt of Sapulpa; and two grandchildren.
