Wallace V. Hurt, 82, 1343 E. McKinley, died Monday at his home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Wednesday at Mounds Methodist Church with the Rev. John Hess officiating.

Burial will follow in Duck Creek Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Hurt was born Oct 23, 1908, in Okmulgee, and married Annabelle Roller in May 1931, in Okmulgee. He was an oilfield worker for Lofli-Brothers Oil Co. And moved to Sapulpa in 1972 from New Iberia, La. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mounds and worked for Sapulpa Schools for 10 years.

Survivors include wife Annabelle; son Wayne Hurt of Minneapolis, Minn.; brothers Leo Hurt of Modesto, Calif., Manford Hurt and Stanford Hurt, both of Sapulpa; sister Vinita Deal of Victorville, Calif.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Casketbearers were Clifford Bradley, Don Bradley, John Roller, Ed Roller, Phil Creek and Richard DeYoung.
