Former Sapulpa Public School teacher, Alberta Irvin, 80, 1222 E. Lincoln, died at home Friday.

Services are 2pm Monday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Billy Pierce officiating.

Burial will be at the Bixby Cemetery in Bixby, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Oct 21, 1908, in Tulsa County and had been a Sapulpa resident since 1943.

She graduated from Glenpool High School, received her bachelors degree from East Central State College in Ada and her masters degree from the University of Tulsa.

Mrs. Irvin was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kappa Kappa Iota, Delta Kappa Gamma, Rebekah Chapter of the Easter Star, Creek County Retired Teachers Association and the Bartlett Memorial Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include daughter Twila BOYD of Irving, Texas and Beverly Ann STONE of Midland, Texas; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
