George Ray Jarrett, 65, formerly of Sapulpa, died Tuesday in Red Oak, Tex.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday in Dallas at the Beaty Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Howard officiating and Beck Rhodes assisting.
Graveside rites are to follow in the Winterfield Cemetery under the direction of
Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro, Tex.
Jarrett was born March 2, 1927 to George Washington and Emma Laney Jarrett. He
was the regional sales manager for Cardinal Scale Manufacturer and a member of
the National Scalesmen Association. He was a member of the First Baptist Church
of Sapulpa. He was a 31-degree Mason with the East Dallas Lodge #1200 and
Scottish Rite. He served in the Navy in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca
Ann McNatt Jarrett in 1987.
Survivors include sons Bobby Polley of Waxahachie, Mike Jarrett and Travis
Jarrett, both of Sapulpa, and Tim Jarrett of Dallas; daughters Marva Beck of Red
Oak and Becky Rhodes of McDonough, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
Pallbearers are Bobby Polley, Mike Jarrett, Travis Jarrett, Tim Jarrett, Ross
Bryant and Jeremy Robinson.
Family visitation will be Thursday, 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.
