Lucinda Allen Johnson, 99, of Bristow died Thursday in Bristow.

Rosary is to be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Hutchins-Maples Chapel and Mass is to be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bristow.

Burial is to follow in the Allen Family Cemetery in Bristow under the direction of Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.

Johnson was born on July 21, 1894 in Indian Territory and was a lifelong resident of Bristow. She married Gus Johnson who preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1974. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bristow.

On May 18, 1991 Gov. David Walters proclaimed "Lucinda Allen Day," when he designated her ranch to be a centennial ranch for being one of the oldest operating ranches in Oklahoma. She was retired farmer/rancher and also taught at the Mescalero-Apache reservation in Mescalero, N.M. She is preceded in death by her husband Gus Johnson and sons Lucian Tiger and Alvin Johnson.

She is survived by daughter Majel Frye of Kellyville; sisters Ella Burgess of Oklahoma City and Ann Coppinger of Bristow; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
