Violet Ruth Johnson, 89, of Sapulpa, died Friday, Dec. 1, 1995 at Dallas-Fort Worth Medical Center in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Services will be 10 a.m. at Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Page Cole Officiating. Burial will be in South Heights Cemetery, directed by Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson was born July 21, 1906 in Quincey, Ill.

She lived in Sapulpa from 1975 until she moved to Grand Prairie in March. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church of Sapulpa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Johnson, and a sister, Hazel Langston.

Survivors include a sister, Fyrn McLaughlin of Grand Prairie, and nieces and nephews.

Services for Violet Ruth Johnson were held today in the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Page Cole officiating. Burial was in South Heights Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Fred Thompson, Harold Misner, Kelvin Misner, Bob Bell, Jerry Dickerson, Dan Atkinson and Bom Bomgardner.

Mrs. Johnson died Friday. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
