HEAVENER - Ernest Roger Jones, 83, of Heavener, formerly of Sapulpa, Okla., died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, in Heavener. He was a veteran of World War II where he was awarded the Purple Heart.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with burial at Hodgen Cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Wilkinson and Dianna Payne, both of Sapulpa, Okla.; three sons, Ronald and Gerald, both of Sapulpa, and Roger of Paris; three sisters, Etoyle and Nina Richards, both of Hodgen, and Pat Allison of Hartford; two brothers, Eugene of Sapulpa and Larry of Hodgen; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
