Wayne I. Jones, 79, of Yuma, Ariz., died Monday Sept. 5, 1994 in Phoenix.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Sunset Vista Chapel from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Jones was born June 3, 1915 in Branson, Mo. He moved to Yuma in 1953.

He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic who served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He also was a member of the American Legion and Odd Fellows.

He is survived by wife Fern West Jones of the Home; sons Curtis Jones of Wellton, Ariz. and Jerry Jones of Yuma; daughters Nelda Wilson of Petaluma, Calif., Sharon Hoagland of Santa Rosa, Calif., Cosette Bagby of Imperial Dam, Calif., and Nora Quinonez and Hallie Pelfrey both of Wellton; 33 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
