Zola Mae Jones, 80, 507 Ranger Rd., died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 1995 in Sapulpa.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Christian Union Church in Tryon, Okla. With the Rev. Ted Gibson officiating.
Interment is to follow in the Tryon Cemetery under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
Jones was born Nov. 29, 1914 in Tryon to James R. Hemphill and Mary A. (Hayes) Hemphill. She married Orvel Ray “Jack” Jones on Dec. 7, 1932 in Tryon, where she lived nearly all of her life.
She was born in Tryon and attended Harmony Elementary School. She graduated from Tryon High School. She was the Postmaster’s Assistant for 17 years before her retirement. She moved to Sapulpa about 1 ˝ years ago. She was a member of the Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one twin sister.
Survivors include husband O.R. “Jack” Jones; daughter Darlene Kerby of Sapulpa; son Walter Lee of Amarillo, Texas; brother Albert L. Hemphill of Broken Arrow; sisters Velma
Matthews of Perkins and Irene Farrow of McMinnville, Ore.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
