Alice Jones passed away Saturday, April 7, 2001, after a brief illness. She was 72.

She was born April 28, 1928, in Sapulpa. She married her husband, Lewis, June 16, 1947; they were married 54 years. She had lived in Sapulpa all her life.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her father, James D. Wilson; and her mother, Della Wilson.

She raised four daughters, Linda, Patsy, Kay and Debby.

Her family includes Linda and Robert Turner of Sapulpa, Patsy and Jim Sellers of Sapulpa, Kay and Jim Norman of St. Charles, MO and Debby and Doug Galloway of Sapulpa; seven grandchildren (named) and eight great-grandchildren (named).

She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Bernice Plum, Grace Matlock, James Wilson, Sue Croney, Burl Wilson, Connie Yocham and Terry Wilson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Roy Wilson and Oscar Wilson; and a sister, Betty Mobley.

Services at First Baptist Church.

Interment at South Heights Cemetery, Smith Funeral Home officiating.

Pallbearers David Young, F. L. Bradley, Jack Taylor, Ron Edmiston, Jim Hubbard and Robert Tinker. Honorary pallbearers are the Men’s Fellowship Class.
