Former Sapulpan Irving Jones, 76, of Tulsa, died Wednesday at Hillcrest Medical Center.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jones was born Sep 4, 1914, in Gary County, Kan. He lived in Sapulpa from 1972 until moving to Tulsa in 1980. He was a retired meat cutter and Church of Christ minister and a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mervin Jones, and a daughter, Donna Hines.

Survivors include wife, Virginia; children Melvin Jones of Greenridge, Mo., Karen Ann Jones of Tulsa, Delores Jones, Deon Jones, Delene Jones and Myron Jones; 10 brothers and sisters; 46 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
