Thomas Jones, 73, 910 N. Ridgeway, died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Muskogee.

Prayer services will be 7:30 am Tuesday at Pickett Chapel Indian Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday at Pickett Chapel Indian Methodist Church with the Revs. Thomas Long and Mike Harjo officiating.

Burial will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral home.

Mr. Jones was born Dec. 24, 1916, in Sapulpa, and lived in this area all his life. A Baptist, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

Survivors include wife, Mary; sons Tommy Jones of Kellyville and Benny Jones of Sapulpa; stepsons Jim Keigley and Ed Keigley, both of Sapulpa; brother LaVerne Jones of Sapulpa; sisters Georgia Brown of Coweta and Julia Winningham and Rosie Marsey, both of Sapulpa; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction Smith Funeral Home.
Military rites were provided by the Sapulpa Veterans Organizations.

Casket bearers were members of the veterans organizations.

Mr. Jones, a lifelong Sapulpan died Saturday at Veteran's Hospital in Muskogee.
