Mr. Walter L. "Spider Jones, 79, 1213 Melinda, died Monday at Smith's Landing near Siloam Springs, Ark., of an apparent heart attack.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Thomas Eggebeen officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Owen Funeral Home.

He was born in Sapulpa, January 30, 1908 and had been a resident her all his life. He was president of Petroleum Contractors Corp., and organized this company in 1956. Mr. Jones was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sapulpa Elks Lodge, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include wife Ina; daughter Mrs. Derwin (Janet) Folger of Sapulpa; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family request that contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund in lieu of other remembrances. Mr. Jones will lie in state at the Owen Funeral Home until 1 p.m. Wednesday; the casket will not be opened at the services. 

The family will be headquartered at the Folger home at 1100 S. Apple.
