Sigmund Katz

Tulsa - Sigmund Katz, 92, Tulsa, died Friday at Southern Hills Nursing Center, Tulsa.

Arrangements are pending with Owen Funeral Home, for more information call.

Entombment will be at Green Hill Mausoleum.

Mr. Katz was born Aug 5, 1896, in Louisville, KY. The Katz family moved to Sapulpa in 1910 and established the Katz Department Store.

Mr. Katz worked at the Bristow store from 1922-1941 then associated with the Oklahoma State Employment Service. He resided in Sapulpa from 1952 until 1985, when he moved to Tulsa.

He married Elizabeth Pattison Sep 23, 1926, in Oklahoma City.

Surviors include wife Elizabeth; daughters Patty Hager of Tulsa and Sydney Farris of Denton, Texas; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
