Mr. Vernie Virgil Kimberling, 82, Sapulpa, died today after an extended illness.

Services are set for 10 am Thursday at the Bill Merritt Funeral Chapel in Oklahoma City.

Burial will be at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Okla., under the direction of Owen Funeral Home.

Mr. Kimberling was born March 17, 1905, in Arkansas and had lived in Sapulpa since 1982.

Survivors include sons Wayne of Sapulpa, Cecil of Mounds and Calvin of Oklahoma City; sisters Lorraine Green of Fort Worth, Texas and Marie Roles of California; 24 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
