BESSIE KING

CUSHING - Bessie B. King, 75, of Cushing, died Dec. 31 at her home.

Funeral services were held January 3 at the Palmer Funeral Home in Cushing with Sister Lawanda Mitchell officiating.

Burial followed at Flynn Memorial Cemetery in Cushing under the direction of Palmer Funeral Home.

Casketbearers were Terry Mullins, Bill McCarty, Charley Bernard, Jack Bernard, Walter Eyler, Mike VanBurnt and Harold Escoe.

She was born March 4, 1916, in Cushing. She married Truman J. King at the Sapulpa Court House on November 15, 1945.

She was preceded in death by husbands Carl Bernard and Truman King; daughter Alice Marie Eyler; and brothers Bill Skinner and James O. Skinner.

Mrs. King was a member of Ladies Auxiliary and attended the VFW church in Cushing.

She is survived by a son, W. Otis Bernard of Sapulpa; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
