Updated: 06 Sep 2009 April 1, 1988 Mr. Woodrow W. Lair, 73, formerly of Jenks, died Thursday at Park Terrace Nursing Center, Tulsa. Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Saturday at Covey Cemetery, Jenks, with the Rev. J. R. Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owen Funeral Home. He was born Aug 12, 1914, in Palco, Kan. Mr. Lair was a veteran of World War II serving in the U. S. Army. He lived most of his life in Sapulpa and retired from Liberty Glass after 30 years of service. He moved to Jenks in 1977 and lived there until his death. Mr. Lair was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby, in 1981. Survivors include step-son Don Dyer of Tulsa; step-daughters Betty Wortham of Sapulpa and Carol Reed of Tulsa; brothers Raymond of Sapulpa and Charles of Texas; five step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation and the casket will not be opened at any time. |
