Updated: 06 Sep 2009 1987 LAND FORT WORTH, Texas - Mr. Norman Gilbert Land, 59, of Ft. Worth, Texas, died Saturday at his home. Services will be 1 pm Wednesday at the Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa. Mr. Land was born Oct 10, 1928, in Sapulpa and attended Sapulpa schools. He joined the Army in 1946, and retired in 1974. At the time of his death, he was employed at the Ft. Worth Police Department. He was preceded in death by his father, Knaustaway Land, in 1977. Survivors include, wife Helen; son Lewis of Norman, daughter Dinah of Ft. Worth, Texas; brothers Joe of Hot Springs, Ark., Vernon and Paul of Sapulpa; sisters Irene Land and Maryann Marshall of Sapulpa and Sarah Morton of Oklahoma City.
