Updated: 06 Sep 2009 November 11, 1987 LANGFORD COFFEYVILLE, Kan. - Mr. Bill G. Langford, 65, Independence, Kan., died Monday at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Services will be 11 am Saturday at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel, Coffeyville. Burial will be a Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville. Mr. Langford was born May 22, 1922, in Sapulpa and attended Sapulpa schools. He also attended the University of Tulsa for two years. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during the World War II. Mr. Langford returned to Sapulpa in 1946 and later moved to Tulsa with his wife, Dorothy. They later moved to Liberal, Kan., where he worked as an auto mechanic. In 1954 they moved to Coffeyville where Mr. Langford owned and operated a rural Milk business. He also delivered for Page Milk Co. and Swift Milk Co., in Kansas. Mr. Langford retired in 1980 from Funk Manufacturing. Survivors include wife Dorothy; daughter Billie Schertzer of Miami, Okla.; and one grandchild. Friends will be received at the funeral home in Coffeyville between 7-8 pm Thursday. |
