Loris Dale Lauener, 86, died August 10, 2008. He was born April
26, 1922, in Jennings, OK to Werner and Lynthia (Curtess)
Lauener. Lauener proudly served in the US Army during WWII as a
part of the medical branch stationed in India. A graduate of
OSU, earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1954, he
was a veterinarian and a lifetime member of OVMA and AVMA.
He was preceded
in death by his parents; granddaughter, Brooke Adams; and sisters, Allene Crowe
and Allreita Coonrad.
He is survived
by: his wife of 59 years, Betty Lauener; daughters, Nancy Littrell and husband
Steve, Maribeth Adams and husband Jerry; and 2 grandchildren, Gretchen and
Kaydee Adams.
In lieu of
flowers, the family requests donations to the Oklahoma State University
Foundation, P.O. Box 1749, Stillwater, OK 74076-1749. Please indicate "Dr. Loris
D. and Betty J. Lauener Memorial Fund" when making a contribution. Service will
be Thursday, August 14, 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church, Oilton, OK with
interment in Oilton Cemetery.
