LEVERETT

Mrs. Luther C. (Virgie Ruth) Leverett, 67, Houston, Texas, died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center of an apparent heart attack.

Services are pending with Owen Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 18, 1919, in Tulsa County.

Mrs. Leverett was a sales supervisor for Foley’s Department Store in Houston, where she had been employed for the past 23 years. She was a member of the Heights Christian Church in Houston.

Mrs. Leverett had lived in Houston since 1946, moving there from Jenks. She was raised in the Sapulpa area and was a graduate of Sapulpa High School.

Survivors include husband Luther C. of Houston; sons Peter Wayne of Houston and Robert Paul of Chicago; sisters Mrs. Bob (Ann) Marshall of Sapulpa, Jane Murphy of Conroe, Texas, and Sylvia Mae Pope of Santa Fe Springs, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
