Mrs. Sylvia Long Martin, 78, Sapulpa, died Saturday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Services are pending under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Martin was born March 1, 1909, in Cleveland, Okla. She was a resident of Sapulpa from 1941 until 1975 when she moved to Bristow. She returned to Sapulpa last year.

Mrs. Martin was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Bristow. She was also an employee of the Creek County Court Clerk's office for 27 years. 

Survivors include sons; Buddy Long of Sapulpa and Leonard Long of Inola, Okla.; daughter, Yaoma O'Malley of Wichita Falls, Texas; brother, L. E. Whittington of Clovis, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
