Robert Michael Massa, 43, 2552 Thunderbird Lane, died Thursday at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Desease).

A memorial service will be 10 am Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Thomas P. Eggebeen officiating.

His body was donated for medical research and education.

Mr. Massa was born March 10, 1945, in St. Louis. He graduated Edison High School in Tulsa and attended Oral Roberts University Tulsa Junior College and Northeastern State University.

He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, Tulsa. He married Elizabeth (Libby) on September 26, 1969, in Stigler, Okla.

Mr. Massa was a Sapulpa police officer for 20 years. He retired on September 16, 1987.

Survivors include wife Libby' parents Robert E. and Virginia Massa of Tulsa; sons Eric, Brian and Ryan; daughter Katy; and brother Lyndon of Sapulpa.

In Lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests that donation be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in the name of Mike Massa.
