R. D. Matney, 55, 2204 S. Park, died Tuesday at Hillcrest Medical Center.

Services will be 2 pm Saturday at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. T. Howard Allen officiating.

Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Bob Hurt Sr., Hubert Brooks, Bob Sartain, Darrell Broyles, Al Butts and Boyd Acree. Honorary bearers will be Dean Moss, Harold Gibson, Ralph Nichols, Harvey Simmons Sr., Bob Hill, Leon Cheesman and Dave Mathis.

Mr. Matney was born Oct 21, 1931, in Bernice, Okla., and lived in Sapulpa most of his life. He was employed at Liberty Glass Company for 37 years and retired in November 1986, as a supervisor.

Survivors include wife Barbara; sons Roy Dee, Jack and Ryan Dale, all of Sapulpa; daughter Brenda Sasson of Sapulpa; step-sons Bobby Brown and Jimmy Brown, both of Sapulpa; step-daughter Sonya Shelton of Lawton, Okla.; brother Ray of Squaw Valley, Calif.; sisters Christine Durbin of Sapulpa and Sylvia Dunback of Riverdale, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
